News Ice Storm Brings Down Illinois Tower Joliet, IL - Dec 11, 2007 - A winter storm brought the 460ft WJCH tower down to a meager 200ft on Dec. 8. Around 2 p.m., the station's signal was cut off, silencing the 50kW station. The automated system should have notified management, but power and telephone lines were also cut.
